I have always been fascinated by beauty and how we all perceive it so differently. To me, it is not about pretty faces but about the light that shines behind the eyes, the warmth of someone’s spirit and the kindness they show to others. I believe this is the mark of true beauty.

Each and every one of us is beautiful to somebody, even if we don’t recognise it in ourselves. If we could see our inner beauty when we look in the mirror, maybe then, we would truly love who we are. Coco Chanel once said – ‘Girls should be two things – classy and FABULOUS’. I want every woman I photograph to leave the studio feeling just that, but I also want them to feel EMPOWERED by their experience. That is a gift I believe I can give another woman, so when somebody asks her what she did with her day, she simply replies “I was just too busy being FABULOUS!“…. – Sharron Goodyear
